why

"conflict in the middle east"
a recurrent headline
from as far back as i can remember

why?
i didn't understand
i don't understand

jews
muslims
christians
killing
and being killed

the hatred ripples
far & wide
now our neighbours
are sending "support"
more lives
to kill
& to be killed

so much hate
too overwhelming to understand
why?
